Refuse to be Intimidated by a ChallengeHi Readers:
Hope you all are staying excited and
in action in the new year. As the cute little girl scouts begin roaming around going door to door with their scrumptious cookies it is a sign to me that it's about the same time I begin hearing grumblings of obstacles getting
in the way of those new year's resolutions. It doesn't have to be that way.
William Arthur Ward shows us
it's all how we look at the challenge. He shared: "The experienced mountain climber is not intimidated by a mountain-- he is inspired by it. The persistent winner is not discouraged by a problem--he is challenged
by it. Mountains are created to be conquered; adversities are designed to be defeated; problems are sent to be
solved. It is better to master one mountain than a thousand foothills"
We all hear the stats on how
many people fall off their goals. What we don't hear is how many people set goals and achieve
great things. If they can do it... you can, too! Hold your eyes on that end result you want every day! Just as if you have already achieved it.
Stay confident in who you are. You are capable of more than you know. If
you need help, ask. If you need answers, seek. If you need rest, rest. Remember how amazing you will feel when you conquer your mountain and how it can change life in new directions.
Refuse to be intimidated by a challenge. Stand strong in who you are. Take action to experience
progress and build confidence. Ask yourself:
~ How can I approach an obstacle as an opportunity
to learn, grow, quell a fear, gain strength and become better for it?
~ How can I face the challenge
so that I am inspired to persistently take steps forward with zeal; consistently anticipating how great
you will feel for having the gumption to see it through?

Set Your Intention to Learn & Watch Your Life Change Learning daily leads to developing skills and self. Think of a football team
at the beginning of spring training until the end of a season. Or a student at the beginning of a school year until the end.
They develop so much by learning and developing skills daily. We all learn and grow on a daily basis but we can grow in greater
strides when we are intentional about about learning something or building a skill.
Developing skills
and self cultivates confidence. Confidence provides strength to endure tough times, and changes a lifetime through
better choices and better results. Someone who is confident will make educated decisions and be more willing to take a risk
to accept an opportunity. They are more willing to stretch outside of their comfort zone. Their communication skills improve.
They are more likely to rise up to their abilities instead of hunkering down in their comfort zone. Be intentional to learn
daily through:
~ Reading something worth reading- Choose something you have an interest in and
learn more about it. Build your expertise.
~ Listening to someone who has value to share- Who
do you admire that you would love to chat with in order to learn more about who they are, where they came from,
and how they grew to be who they are today? Who has great knowledge in an area of interest to you? Is their a class
you would like to take?
~ Learning from experience by taking new actions- We learn by doing. No
one learns to swim without getting into the pool. The more you are willing to do or try, the more you will grow through life
experience.
What could you get excited about learning? Who do you admire that you would love
to chat with and learn from? Is there anything you've been resisting that you could learn from if you got past the fear and
just did it? Is there an opportunity that could make a big difference in your life if you committed to learning or practicing
something?
Can you see how being intentional about learning can improve your quality of life?
Learning more in a certain area and developing skills can lead to developing an expertise, more confidence, more
opportunities, better decisions, and thereby improve your career, business, finances, communication skills, health, results,
and more. Become an infinite learner throughout your life, and experience life shift into something spectacular!

How to Stay on Track to Your Goals- As Focused as Going to Disney WorldHi Readers:
When it comes to goals let us face the humongous, bedazzled,
hot pink elephant in the room head on. We know the real issue. We know what we want. We are motivated. We take action. We
feel great! Then flu season sets in, or we get busy or tired, or thrown off course by appointments, responsibilities, projects,
secondary goals, or insecurity sets in… blah, blah, blah. Abruptly, that of primary importance becomes detached and
disregarded. Make this year different! Staying on course to your most exciting goal is like going to Disney World. Here’s
how:
~ Keep your dream in front of you- Use a vision board, a journal, index cards, a computer,
or whatever works for you. Be intentional. When you plan a trip to Disney World you gather information, brochures, etc. to
keep your goal in front of you as you plan. You have fun dreaming about it regularly as you take action. Commit to learning
and viewing the perks of your goal one to three times a day, five to seven days a week. Always know the exciting part of why
you are going for it.
~ Experience
reaching your destination- Focusing on what you will experience when you reach your goal is critical! Critical!
Allow the experience of already being there pull you into action like a magnet. When you plan a trip you focus on where you
want to end up, the experience you crave. It is easy to imagine and feel the beauty, fun, and excitement of Disney World.
It is easy to experience being by the glimmering tropical pool or on an adventurous Disney attraction, or playing on a lush
championship golf course. Experience your goal in the same way… very bright, vivid, and real… using all of your
senses.
~ Set it up in a way you
know you can do- Goals can be a stretch just like a trip to Disney World. Look into many options. Get expert advice.
Get creative. Do what works for you. On a trip to Disney World you plan and make it work based on who your family is. When
you plan goals, get real. Set your action steps up knowing who you are and what you are confident you can do even if a stretch.
Set goals in a way that builds positive habits and creates a track record of small wins building up to the big ones.
~ Expect discomfort- Taking action outside
your comfort zone obviously leads to discomfort. Be brutally honest. Are you on the wrong track? Is more preparation needed?
Or are you experiencing growing pains as you face something new? Growing pains are something to be excited about as you progress!
You gain experience, knowledge, strength, etc. When finalizing travel plans many second guess their choices feeling a mix
of excitement and discomfort. Acting on goals leads to similar moments, which is why the first two tips above are so important.
Go to the source of discomfort… is it legitimate or simply a growing pain? Believe and trust in your abilities.
~ Schedule time to take action- Those
who travel to Disney World find the time to plan, take action, and make it happen no matter how busy they are or what curve
balls are thrown their way. Commit to your goal by committing the time to do what it takes.
~ Persevere- When you fall off track, get back on. Keep your destination in
site. When planning a trip plenty of things can go wrong. Rates may be higher than anticipated, dates may be booked, flights
may be delayed, cancelled, or re-routed. Travelers stay focused on where they want to go, the final destination. They imagine
being there…in Disney World… having fun, being with people they love, getting in some rest and relaxation, the
beauty of the landscape, the smells of food grilling, etc. Don’t give up! Stay focused on the end result. Continue progressing
forward and you will get there.
So what
are you going to do next? What is your Disney World where your dreams will come true? Protect your most exciting goal by reaching
that destination every day. Dream a little and take a lot of action…. StartingNow!
